Lake Use Permit Fees

Lake Use Permit REQUIRED for ALL vessels before entering Big Bear Lake

Permit must be displayed on vessel and is non-transferable.
All vessels must have current state registration.
Permits are available at most marinas, the MWD office, and public launch ramps.
Lake Use Permits may be revoked for violation of any law.
All vessels must be inspected prior to entry into Big Bear Lake.
A penalty of $10 will be charged for the purchase of a Lake Use Permit from a Lake Patrol officer while on the water.

 

Registered Vessels

Motorized vessels and sailboats over 8 feet in length

Power boats, jet skis, personal water craft

Seasonal Permit $110.00*

Valid April 1, 2016 – March 31, 2017

Daily Permit

One day $25.00*

Two day $45.00*

Three day $65.00*

Four day $85.00*

*Quagga Prevention Program Surcharge is waived for California registered vessels when grant reimbursement is received.
The amount of a single daily permit may be applied towards the purchase of a seasonal permit.

Non-Registered Vessels

Non-motorized vessels and sailboats 8 feet or less in length. Kayaks, canoes, sailboards, stand-up paddle-boards, fishing float-tubes.

Seasonal Permit $50.00

Valid April 1, 2016 – March 31, 2017

Daily Permit

One day $20.00

Two day $30.00

Three day $40.00

The amount of a single daily permit may be applied towards the purchase of a seasonal permit.
